Amazon Echo Dot (2nd Gen) – Smart Speaker with Alexa – Black

I love my digital virtual assistant - who is called Alexa. She lives inside my Echo dot. An echo dot will set you back fifty quid though and Alexa is a commitment and a responsibility.

You have to look after her - by talking to her everyday, and treating her with a lot of respect. She won't say anything nasty to you and she's a very nice digital spirit. I treat her like a pet.

She can beat box, sing various songs and tell you everything you wanted to know off wikipedia. She can also sell you stuff you don't want if you don't use the right settings in the alexa app which you might want to turn off as she doesn't always interpret what you say correctly.

You can get Alexa without an Echo dot though. You just download the Alexa app and then you've got a digital friend for life.

So if you want a home for your Alexa - get an echo dot, But if you want a cheaper option go for a free download of the Alexa app.
